Dr. Wakefield is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a 2002 graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine. He grew up in the Tulsa area and his undergraduate degree is from the University of Oklahoma. Following medical school, Dr. Wakefield completed residency at the University of Oklahoma Family Medicine - Tulsa. During this time he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Wakefield went into family medicine specialty because he wants to care for the “whole family.” He is particularly interested in preventive care but enjoys all aspects of patient care.
